It was the first day at the Halloween challenge over atdramionedrabble  and I have to say I absolutely loved the prompt. The quote was so Draco (though I didn't even end up using it, just for inspiration).

Has anyone of you ever submitted anything to Checkmated? Because I submitted Rest in Laughter and now I'm wondering how long it usually takes them to reject/accept a story. I survived the four hours of torture they subjected me to, aka the exam. You know they lure you in, telling you it's an open-book exam, totally manageable. What they don't mention is that they made up for the supposed easiness with extra question so you'll be rushing through it as quickly as possible.
