I participated at this years
hp_halloween exchange. My assignment was to write Draco/Ginny and I had to include a challenge. Trust me when I say that the pairing was way, way out of my comfort zone. Anyways, I actually ended up writing two drabbles because the first one wasn't very Halloween-ish. My recipent droppend out, so the drabble I turned in got passed down to
_lore . Here are the drabbles (they all had to be 200 words):

They met only once a month-never more-out on the practice field of the Holyhead Harpies, early in the morning when the pitch was deserted.
It had all started with a chance meeting. Ginny had made a habit of flying in the mornings, relishing in the solitude. It calmed her and gave her time to think, something which she could rarely do in her otherwise busy life.
One Sunday, however, she had been surprised to see that she wasn’t the only one out for a fly. She had immediately recognised Draco’s white blond hair and had turned to walk away, disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to fly alone that morning.
But he had seen her before she had had the opportunity to leave, taunting her about being too scared to fly when having an actual competition. She hadn’t been able to resist.
Flying together was a challenge, both of them wanting to be better than the other. But it also was the most fun Ginny had in a long time.
They never spoke of it, but somehow flying together had become a tradition, something they were both looking forward to each month.
But they never talked. Not once.

Going out with her fellow team members was always a merry adventure. Going out on Halloween, after having won yet another game, was bound to turn into a carousel, unparalleled by any of their previous outings.
After more rounds of Firewhiskey than Ginny cared to remember, the party turned more and more boisterous. So, when their keeper Hamish suggested they play truth-or-dare, the idea was generally welcomed, despite the fact that they were all adults and should have been too old to play these kinds of games.
Ginny laughed along with the others when Hamish was forced to tell the truth about his first sexual experience, an awkward debacle that had been dreadful enough to make the poor boy consider joining a convent; and Ginny cheered on Demelza, who had been dared to dance on the table.
Ginny stopped laughing, however, when it was her turn and Demelza challenged her to kiss the owner of their Quidditch team. Too late Ginny realised that she should have picked ‘truth’.
Hours later, when Ginny drunkenly crawled into her bed, she still reflected upon the fact that she was damn lucky that Harry had been working and never saw her kissing Draco Malfoy.
Also, be sure to check out my gift from
_lore . It's called
Unmasked. A really cute Dramione drabble, including Halloween and a kiss.
