Back to School

So, I checked my e-mail during a break from my paper. Assignments for the
weasley_fest have been sent out. Naturally, I was excited, since this is my first exchange. But the assignment is quite alright (especially the pairings). Except maybe that it’s a bit general, so I’ve got no idea in which direction I should take the story or even what kind of plot I should come up with. I guess, I’ll go and stalk my victim (a.k.a. the poor person who’s getting a gift from me). Hopefully it’ll give me an idea about what they like.

I had to google the meaning of one of the squicks, since I didn’t even know what it was. I had a vague idea…then I googled…then ewwwwww…I don’t think there’s any danger of me writing it.

I’ve got two possible ideas for the story floating in my head, which would kinda work…we’ll see. Have to finish MM first anyways. I plan on getting loads of writing done next week.

Also, I submitted the first chapter of MM to the Petulant Poetess. I just got it back. Boy, you wouldn’t believe the amount of mistakes. It’s embarrassing. It really is. I kind of forgot that the first chapter isn’t beta’ed.

Well, they pointed out all my mistakes and explained what I did wrong. That site is great. I plan to go over all my mistakes and hopefully actually understand the rules behind them. Most of it is punctuation…no surprise there…

I feel a bit like I’m back at school, getting assignments, receiving corrections by the teacher…now I’ll go back to writing my paper…at least I don’t have to do any math…though someone over at ff.net threatened to hit me with their calculus book if I don’t update…they liked the chapter though, therefore, I’m willing to overlook any kind of death threats aimed at me (anything for a review).
