I'm not sure--is anyone on my Flist a kidfic fan?

*raises hand*

I would be happy to see missing scenes (and/or sequels) to both of your kid!Daniel stories. Scion is one of my absolute favorites of the SG1 kidfic genre.

I suspect that an SG1 gen community or an AU community would take kidfic. Then there's a Yahoo!Groups group for specifically Daniel kidfic. Which I read obsessively because kidfic is my crackfic.

Woot! Thanks, I wasn't sure anyone around here still remembered those old stories. This is a missing scene for Season, not Scion, but hey, little Daniel is little Daniel however you slice it.

Darcy (my lovely co-writer) is handling posting to the lists, as she's not very familiar with LJ, so I said I'd look for an LJ comm to post to. We're not planning on posting it for another month or so, though, to be closer to Christmas, so I suppose I have time to look.

It's called Scion. It's a series, and admittedly unfinished, but the first three chapters stand alone reasonably well. It's rather different than Season, though, with both a child and adult Daniel, and little Daniel is a bit troubled. But hey, there it is if you're interested, hope you enjoy. *g*

Yes... I have to admit I love a good kidfic... Unfortunately there are so so so many bad ones out there.

Happily, "There is a Season" was a great story. I'm really looking forward to reading the scene!

Yay, thank you! I have to admit, Season is a special one for me. Also, writing like mad on it kept me occupied while the hubby was in Afghanistan.

I'll need to check with Darcy as she wanted to wait until it was closer to Christmas to post, but she probably wouldn't mind me posting an F-locked entry sooner. And I hope you enjoy the scene once its up!

You are working on your kidfics again? Brilliant!!! I was so hoping you would continue with them. You just made my day!

Aw, thank you! It's just a small missing scene from the story, not a continuation, per se, but we're also talking about opening up that story for anyone to write a missing scene using the existing framework, if they'd like. We're trying to encourage more little Daniel fic, since we're both not so secretly addicted. *g*

Yay for moving in!! Welcome back online. :)

Dark blue and green? {shudders} I hope you won that argument!

Your pets sound great. That's particularly wonderful that the cat is so good with the baby. I was wondering if he was an orange, and than you said so (orange males are often the most placid cats in the world - pretty much guarenteed). What general type is the dog? Your kid is going to grow up loving animals. ^^

Cable! And DVR... It's true, you'll never go back again. ;D

Hope your computer comes soon. Welcome back!

*is very flattered*

*and a little frightened*

Do I know Sanskrit? The name sounds a bit familiar, but it may just be because I've heard it bandied about in Daniel Jackson fic. If she's on LJ, I'd be happy to friend her so she can read the f-locked scene when it is posted. Or you could share it with her, if you like. I would appreciate it if you didn't repost it publicly, though, as Darcy and I are waiting a bit before public posting.

...you printed the whole damn thing? All 400 pages? Yikes. And wow. *is flattered again*

Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. I was just really excited. And I did tell you, foreverago, that you were my idol (even if it was so late that I kinda confused you with Keikoken.) And no, I wouldn't post your writing publically; that's your business when and where it gets posted, and if you want to wait until Christmas, then you certainly can. And Sanskrit writes J/D at ffnet and area52; you may know her from there. She introduced me to the story.

And yes, I have it printed out. All of it... I couldn't resist. It was so well written and Danny was so pathetic and adorable.... I wanted to give him a hug!!! (Sadly, it's in my dorm room, and so I don't know whether it made it through Rita or not. If it didn't, that's one of the first things I'm replacing.)

Oh, and I totally blame you for my not getting more written tonight. I'm working on an N/G/G threesome, but now I'm compelled to go read TIAS again.
