This shit, my friends, makes me want to cry -
Pseudo-intellectuals getting into debates about who's the smartest of them all - because as we know, it is of utmost importance in today's world to be successful in proving your movie review on the internet is better and more accurate than everyone else's. It's also important to have an IQ of fucking 150, else you're just trash.
This is also one instance where I find being a grammar nazi for proving a person's smarts is completely ridiculous.
I've gone into such pointless debates before... I don't really blame these guys for acting this way...
it's easy to get riled up when someone attacks you because of your personal opinion - one that you might have changed, were the other person not so antagonistic in making their point.
I thought the point of forum was into exchanging ideas. Why have most public web forums turned into bitchfests?
Is it so hard to ask to have discussions based ONLY on opinions, instead of making them so personal all the time?
Jesus fuck - maybe I'm going a bit far, but no wonder so many people are depressed...
The virtual world has become a very harsh one. I thought we wanted to make it a world of opportunities - for growth, pleasure and education - but at times it looks like we failed horribly at making this reality come true.
