Music and Fandom Post
I need to start off everyday with ‘Kiri’ by Monoral and ‘Cherish the Day’ by Sade. Other uplifting songs, Alive by Edwin ; awesome Canadian band and ‘Yesterday’ by 30 Seconds to Mars. They always leave a smile on my face. Now onto other awesome stuff:
Nikita 1x11
Maggie Q is battling for top bamf female with Olivia Dunham and I never thought I would see that day come but it has. The scene where she scares the shit out of Dragon Lady or Amanda is the shit. Then it gets better; she takes on all the recruits in front of Percy while he looks on in envy ‘cause he misses Nikita being on his side and fucking up people’s shit on his behalf more than he lets on.
And yay for Alex growing up and finding more resolve in her mission while setting Thom free; I knew deep down he didn’t like where he was. I wonder what Jaden will make of this; I think Alex has a for sure enemy for life with Thom’s death on her hands. I eagerly await more Owen, more new CIA guy and the recruit whose death they faked and Percy and co are secretly training as a cleaner.
Lost Girl 1x09-1x10
I also really thrilled with this show; and how they threw up a temp cock block for Lauren and Bo; because I enjoy their dynamic and I can’t wait to see how they overcome this. I am Team Dyson but I feel awful for Lauren; she was doing the best she could with the little power she had. Kensei’s finally becoming less of the side-kick and the show acknowledging this is great; she and Dyson’s friendship, her growing kinship with Trick and Hale is a real pleasure to watch. And lol with her quoting Luda, that was hilarious. Saskia intrigues me, can’t wait to see more of her and I want more of the firestarter for next season we saw in the ep where Bo, Kensei and Hale almost got exterminated. She is fierce.
Inception
Amazing movie and my only real critic is that the characters got shafted for the story but I can’t see how else Nolan could have worked it; so much awesome stuff so little time to properly delve into it all. Basically I could have watched these characters in several more movies or a mini-series but hopefully fandom delivers and gives me awesome Ariadne/Arthur and Mal/Cobb to go with Eames/Arthur. Also some Eames/Saito and gen Cobb/Saito would be awesome. Maybe Yuletide will make me some of that come true.:)
Next up more TV this weekend and a long-overdue manga post.
Also, trailer for next Fast and the Furious movie is bad-ass. I no longer consider them my number one OTP; but they still have the bond and Mia looks like she gets cool shit to do and that is all good by me.:)
