Guys, I'm so sorry, I know that I've turned into one of those people that spams my flist with pictures of cute animals. I'm like one of those newbies on the internet circa 1999 who would forward people chain e-mails with bad jokes and forget to take out all the forwarding headers inside the body of the e-mail.
But look at the picture of this cutie:

Is he not the most adorable thing ever?
He's a baby talapoin monkey that was orphaned in Cameroon and being sold as a pet before the Cameroon Wildlife Aid Fund rescued him and nursed him back to health (he had, among other wounds, a piece of buckshot in his chest).
Good people, I know that there's a recession on, but please consider donating to the CWAF. They accept PayPal, they rescue primates in need and house them at a sanctuary, and run entirely on donations. Twenty dollars keeps a baby chimp in milk for a month, fifty dollars keeps a young gorilla in food and medicine for three months, and these people need your help to continue the good work that desperately needs doing.
The cost of going to two movies could feed a baby chimp for a month. Got that? Just ten or twenty bucks makes a difference.
Find it in your hearts to send something their way. Please. It's organizations like these that are the first and last line of defense in the fight to offer these creatures comfort, solace, and safety.
