During our Anatomy and Physiology practical this morning, we had to collect our own urine samples for a urine test experiment. The different shades of urine across the laboratory kind of amused me. I made my teacher went Orz and facepalmed, "OMG... why are you guys comparing everything" when I compared a classmate's high urine clarity to that of "哇~ 她的 clear 到可以养鱼". It was only a few moments later that I realized it was INDEED quite a comparison.
I felt a sudden surge of anxiousness while waiting for my urine test strip result to be calculated by this machine. Just the anticipation I guess. Then, I got a BIG SHOCK. My urine test had reflected the presence of quite a level of Leukocytes, which is an indication of an infection along the urinary system. My teacher posted a few questions like "do you experience any pain while urinating? Burning sensation? Any other discomfort?" and my answers being "No" to all of the above. At least for when I collected that sample, I did not feel any discomfort while urinating. Then again, I am not sure if I am scaring myself right now, I thought that I might have experienced some discomfort previously.
So I went to check on t3h Int3Rn3t a while ago and found out that besides the possibility of infections in the urinary system, dehydration or vaginal secretion contamination might have caused the presence of leukocytes to be detected in the urine. Damn, I hope it's the latter two. Perhaps it might just be that the recent terrible lack of sleep and stress from the tests affected my body to go a little haywire.
I regretted telling my mum about this. Now she's getting a little worked up.
Hope there's nothing serious >__<
I'll be paying more attention to my health for these few days as advised by my teacher.
