Abiru Yuu/Yamashita Tomohisa, Hints of Abiru Yuu/Tanaka Koki, Issa (from Da Pump)/Abiru Yuu, and Kitagawa Keiko/Yamashita Tomohisa. Yamapi has a routine-even if he doesn't quite realize it himself-that Yuu really wishes she hadn't figured out herself. So when he brings her to Hawaii yet again, she doesn't know if she should hope that she's wrong or just accept what's to come.

October 2008.
"Had a good day shopping?" Yamapi comments as soon as Yuu walks through the door. He smiles at her from the balcony, cigarette in hand.
"What do the bags tell you?" Yuu smirks, putting them off to the side of their table.
"That you probably spent way too much money."
Yuu laughs, walking out onto the balcony and standing next to him. "What are you doing back already? Aren't you usually out doing... something else?"
Yamapi raises an eyebrow. "Know my schedule or something?"
"Or something." Yuu tries hard to keep the bitterness from her voice―she succeeds.
"What'd you get?" Yamapi asks, taking a drag from his cigarette.
Yuu laughs. "Are you really curious or are you just trying to find something to talk about?"
"Probably the second one, but why not?" he asks, turning around to lean his back against the railing, looking at Yuu face to face.
She laughs again. "I'm not sure that's really a conversation getter, 'Hisa." She pauses before adding something else abruptly, Erika's voice echoing in her head all of a sudden. "Why are we in Hawaii, Tomohisa?"
Yamapi freezes, blinking back at her. "What?"
Yuu only repeats herself. "Why are we in Hawaii?" She sighs, leaning against the balcony railing and refusing to look Yamapi in the eye. "We never come to Hawaii just because. Something must've happened―maybe at work, maybe at home. Probably at work though. I'm betting they want you to break up with me again. A new year, a new attempt," Yuu said sardonically.
"Yuu," Yamapi starts, before pausing, throwing his cigarette butt on the ground and stomping it out then turning back around to look out at the Hawaiian coast. "It's not-"
"Don't," Yuu snaps, suddenly exhausted. "If you're going to lie to me and tell me it wasn't the Jimusho, I'm not hearing it."
"They want me to break up with you, yes," Yamapi finally says, sounding just as tired. "But that's not why-"
Yuu interrupts him again. "Figures." She pushes away from the railing and heads back inside their hotel room, fuming. "Just get it over with then."
"Yuu!" Yamapi groans, following behind her. "I am not here to break up with you!"
Yuu spins around, abruptly stopping in front of Yamapi. "Really?" she asks. "May 2006. We went to Hawaii on vacation. End of it, you broke up with me. February 2007. I was in Hawaii for a shoot, you came over, then at the end of the week, guess what? Broke up with me. November 2007, you were there for work, invited me over, and oh, look at that, broke up with me." Yuu crosses her arms. "And hey, where are we right now?"
Yamapi stares at her, and for a moment there, Yuu wonders if he's even heard a word she's said. "I'm not here to break up with you," he says again.
Yuu stares at him, incredulous. "You're still saying that?"
"You're jumping to conclusions." He sounds calm―too calm.
"Look, Tomohisa," Yuu starts. "Once is an occurrence, twice is a coincidence. Three times is a fucking pattern. You have no right to tell me that I'm jumping to conclusions."
"I'm not here to break up with you," Yamapi only repeats.
Yuu stares. "You're fucking ridiculous," she snaps, suddenly hearing Erika's voice instead of her own.
"And you have no faith in me," Yamapi snaps―Yuu doesn't want to admit that she's actually glad that he's pissed, but she is because if he reacts, that means she's actually affected him in some way.
"I do. Until you decide, 'Oh hey! Let's drop everything and go to Hawaii!'" Yuu crosses her arms. "Then it gets a little questionable. And I was okay, absolutely okay to just take whatever happened. Even hoped for the best, but now I'm tired. And you're trying to act like everything's normal when we both know it's not." Yuu sighs. "Just. Forget it," Yuu presses her fingers against her forehead. "Just. Just get it over with, 'Hisa."
"No," Yamapi says simply, looking her in the eye. "I'm not breaking up with you." Without another word, he walks out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
Yuu sighs, pressing her fingers against the side of her forehead again before crashing at the couch and turning on the television. She tries to stay up as late as she can, but she's asleep before she knows it and Yamapi never comes back―at least not while she's awake.

January 2008.
"Yuu, are you okay?" Erika asked as Yuu's manager, Ayase, sat Yuu down on Erika's couch.
Yuu giggled before teetering over in her seat. "I'm great," she mumbles against the pillow. Her manager sighed before passing Erika, Yuu's handbag.
"She got trashed before the show and they kicked her out," Ayase said frowning.
Erika looked down at her best friend who was drooling on one of her favorite pillows. "She's in trouble, isn't she?"
"Look, you've gone through this―no offense―but can you let her know what to expect? I have to go back to the office and do some damage control." Before Erika (or the snoozing Yuu) could say anything, Ayase was already out the door.
Erika frowned as she tossed Yuu's bag off to the side and moved to grab some sheets for her friend, throwing them over her. Just as Erika's about to leave the room, Yuu's phone went off―Tackey & Tsubasa's Venus muffled inside her handbag. Erika froze, staring at the bag before pulling out the cellphone and checking the caller ID.
"Don't pick it up," Yuu moaned from the couch.
Erika didn't, but the song still played―at least for another minute before the phone shut off. "The Great Listener―Yamapi?" Erika asked.
"It's an old joke," Yuu sighed, hand over her eyes. Erika walked over to her couch, crouching down to Yuu's level. "I never changed it."
"Why is he calling now?"
Yuu snorted. "Like I know."
The phone beeped, signaling a new voice mail and Yuu tried hard to fight off the headache. "He left a message," Erika said plainly.
"I can tell. I don't really need you to explain things to me. I'm drunk, not dumbed down," Yuu snapped. Erika snorted before passing Yuu her phone and standing back up to walk towards the kitchen. Yuu stared at her phone before sighing and biting the bullet, listening to her message.
"Yuu―" Yamapi started on the other line. "Abiru-chan," he said, correcting himself. "I just. I heard about what happened earlier today, and I just. I wanted to see if you were doing okay. See if you're feeling better." Yuu snorted loudly as Erika placed a glass of water at the side table before walking away, leaving Yuu to herself. "I don't―" Yamapi paused. "I don't want our breaking up to cause any trouble, so I'm. I'm just sorry for everything."
Yuu hung up, not even sure if she'd finished the message―but she didn't care anymore. She chucked the phone across the room, not sure where it landed, but not hearing a noise either so she didn't think it broke. She just drank her water and let herself fall back into sleep―a sleep where her stupid deeds didn't exist and where she wasn't miserable just hearing the sound of Yamapi's voice.

October 2008.
"Yuu."
Yuu groans loudly as she's shaken awake. When she opens up her eyes, Yamapi stares back at her, smiling as he sweeps the hair from her eyes. She suddenly feels like it's back to the beginning of the week again. "'Hisa?" she mumbles.
"Hey, was just worried that you wouldn't get some food in you before the flight," Yamapi says softly.
Yuu blinks up at him and exhales. "You know, I'm still mad at you," she catches his gaze as he chuckles.
"And I told you that I'm not going to do what you think I am."
"We'll see," she mumbles before she pushes the sheets out of the way and grabs some clothes on her way towards the bathroom. "Let me go get ready for this breakfast that you so anxiously woke me up for."
"Eggs and pancakes!" Yamapi calls out. "Perfect American breakfast, don't you think?"
Yuu shakes her head as she brushes her teeth―she doesn't know why she's pretending that everything's okay.
"Hey, are you packed already?"
"Why do you sound surprised?" Yuu yells from inside the bathroom, fixing up her hair and putting on her make-up.
"You're just not usually that prompt," Yamapi comments as he approaches the bathroom, leaning against the doorway.
Yuu shrugs. He didn't need to know that she went to sleep horribly late waiting for him, and to pass the time, packing had been one of her choices. When she finishes, she turns to face him, her long hair whipping behind her in a ponytail. "So where's this pity meal?"
Yamapi frowns at her. "I told you―"
Yuu leans forward, brushing his hair from his face. "Then answer my question. Why are we in Hawaii?"
"Because I wanted to propose."
Yuu jerks backwards, stumbling over the thankfully closed toilet seat and landing on her ass. "What?" she asks, looking up at him in stunned awe.
Yamapi sighs, refusing to meet her eyes. "You really know how to ruin a guy's plans." He drops to a knee, hand reaching inside his pocket to grab a black velveted box.
"'Hisa," Yuu starts, eyes wide. "What―"
"I can't tell the world I'm going out with you, at least not yet. I can't even tell them that I'm in love with someone right now. But if you know, if just you know that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you, I'm happy." Yamapi opens the jewelry box and Yuu stares at a glittering pink diamond―a ring, an engagement ring. "The Jimusho did tell me to break up with you―they want us to break up, always have. But I told them that this time, this time would be different."
Yuu can't really speak, doesn't know what to say. "I-" she starts again before her voice leaves her. "In the bathroom?" she finally manages.
Yamapi blinks. "What?"
"You're proposing in the bathroom?"
"Well, I was going to propose at breakfast but then you got antsy, and I got nervous. Then I felt bad about everything I put you through and guilty. And I didn't want you mad anymore. And-" Yamapi stumbles as Yuu throws herself on him, arms wrapped around his neck.
"You're so stupid," Yuu hisses, trying to blink back her tears. "So fucking stupid."
Yamapi laughs, hugging her tightly. "Is that a yes?"
"No, you idiot. I'm not hugging you because I'm about to say we should break up." Yuu pauses. "Oh, I could be. But I'm not. I'm not saying no."
Yamapi grins against her skin. "At least now, Hawaii won't make you think something's wrong. Because I will be taking you here more times than you can count."
Yuu laughs. "You're still an idiot."
"An idiot you're agreeing to marry. Doesn't that make you an idiot too?"
"Probably." Yuu pulls back. "But I don't mind." She presses her lips against his, her arms around his neck.

July 2008 .
"Yuu."
Yuu turned around, the smile dropping from her face as she stared into the face of her boy―ex-boyfriend. "Tomohisa," she blinked, clutching onto her handbag. Of all the places to run into him, she really hadn't expected it to be the nearby shopping area. "What-What are you doing here?"
Yamapi laughed. "It's a mall―what do you think?"
Yuu berated herself for such a dumb question. "Right. Um, well, it's nice to see you," she said abruptly, waving bye to him before turning on her heel―wanting nothing more than to get out of there as fast as she could.
"Wait!" Yamapi called out, reaching out to grab her arm. "I. I want to talk to you."
Yuu frowned as she turned around. "I don't see why―"
"You changed your number," Yamapi said plainly, letting go. "I couldn't call you anymore and nobody would tell me it."
"I wonder why," Yuu snorted. "After the last break-up..."
"Yuu, we've broken up before," Yamapi murmured. "Why was this time different?"
"Because this time, it wasn't your choice. It was your stupid Jimusho that decided. And the day you let them decide something like our relationship, that's when I thought us breaking ties completely was what had to happen." Yuu crossed her arms.
Yamapi stared at her, then looked around, suddenly realizing where they were. "Look, can't we talk about this someplace else? We're kinda public."
"No," Yuu snapped. "There's nothing else to say, so I don't see why I should go anywhere with you."
"Because," Yamapi insisted. "Because I want to apologize. To tell you that I'm sorry for all the shit I pulled, for giving in when everything just got too much. To tell you that I still care, and that you're on my mind, and that I'm sorry for everything."
Yuu blinked, a little more than stunned. "I-"
"So can we talk?" he asked, more urgent.
Yuu stared, felt her heart pound at the idea of falling back into this―of the hurt she felt in the last break-up, of all the comments she got behind her back, of everything―just for this one guy that she knew she loved despite it all. "Okay," she found herself saying. "Fine, I'll listen, but no guarantees."
"I wouldn't expect there to be," Yamapi murmured, hands stuffed in his pockets as his eyes meet hers. "But I'll take what I can get." He smiled, and Yuu felt her heart skip a beat. Some things never changed, but in some cases, Yuu doesn't quite mind.

November 2008.
"I won't start going out if it has not reached the "I want to get married" level ne. ...Going out with a person like me, If there is a girl who is willing to wait for me...... then maybe we can get married (laughs)." ~ WITH October 2008. "Is that how it goes?" Yuu asks with a smirk as she points at the lines.
Yamapi flushes, pulling the magazine from her hands. "Why are you even reading that?" he asks, setting it down at the table next to the couch.
Yuu shrugs, leaning against Yamapi's shoulder as they watch some movie that Yuu hasn't quite been paying attention to. "Because I find out things about my boyfriend that I would never have known otherwise, apparently."
Yamapi laughs, shaking his head. "All you have to do is ask, Yuu."
"Okay. Do you love me?" Yuu asks mischievously, turning to look at him.
Yamapi faces her, grinning. "Hmm. I wonder," he jokes, looking pensive.
Yuu leans in to press a kiss against the side of his lips. "How about now?"
"A little more," Yamapi comments, his hand warm against her cheek. Yuu kisses a little closer again. "Hmm, a little more each day," he says just as Yuu kisses him full-on the lips.
Yuu smiles against the kiss, making it more passionate. Against her throat, her new pink diamond ring linked through a chain glitters under the light.
