As I feared it would, my old iPod completely died today. Never even heard of an iPod that refuses to try turn on even when plugged into the wall. So I ended up with a new one, a 30GB white video model. It's scary how much these things become apart of you, it's hard to be without for even a couple of days. Of course, by buying an iPod now, I have ensured that a new, widescreen, tilt-sensing, 100GB model will be out this fall for $500 or so.
I went with a Best Buy warranty, since they give you one more year than Apple for the same price, and give you money back, meaning that if my iPod does die after a new iPod is released, I might end up with the new model. Still, let's hope this one turns out more reliable than the last one.
