I know what you mean. I was probably the ULTIMATE fan of animorphs and then going back and reading it was like, WTF?!
I grew out of a lot of things but I still remember the adventures and thrills they use to bring me. Hmm...
As for boredom... yeah... minutes do go by slower. ^^
