Bday fun
My birthday began with roommates pouncing on me at midnight and spanking my butt 21 times. That was exciting. ;)
I had an orgo test in the morning which I hope I did okay on. Studying for it kinda ruined any happy, birthday anticipation feelings, but I had been looking forward to presents for weeks... hehe.
I opened Hillary's present after my test: the book "The Evolution of Jane", which ties in the themes of natural selection and Darwinian stuff. My kind of book!
Then were Lily's presents: a Victoria's Secret thong (that's my wifey), an Express sweater, an Old Navy white pashmina, and a Gap pink turtleneck. She knows my taste so well.
And then they went to class and I got to be with my boyfriend... He gave me a silk kimono-esque robe. Just beautiful (looks expensive to boot). I love it. And Joe was really sweet to me. I'm so lucky to have these wonderful people in my life.
(And Lily's boyfriend Mike got me the book "The Seas". I hadn't expected anything from him. In fact, I was rather shocked at it. We don't always get along extremely well but it has been better this term...)
I went out to dinner with my roommates at the Rueb. I got French dip and French onion soup. Mmmmmmmm. I'm so over the dining hall-- no motivation to go there whatsoever. I need to go off board.
My parents sent me an Amazon.com gift certificate and brookies! Funny how they are so much nicer to me this birthday than my last... do you think that has anything to do with my not going to the UK for spring break? Dur.
Life has been good otherwise. Last weekend was mid-winter ball-- sooo much better than last year. I knew all the dances (foxtrot, waltz, west coast and east coast swing, cha cha, rhumba) and Matt et al were fun to dance with. Yay for social dance skills.
I really want this term to be over... spring break in Disney, here I come.
