(no subject)
Today was okay. I only got a little bit teary at work when I had to ask for time off on Friday for the funeral. I didn't acutally manage to get out what the day off was for when asking my boss, just that I needed it!
Jas asked me how my weekend was and I told her all bout it, she's the only one at work I've talked to about it. She then went and told my boss the reason I needed the day off and next thing I know there's a bunch of flowers being delivered to me! That was lovely and such a nice gesture. Although I did get a few oh what's the special occasion? enquiries which were abit awkward to answer.
I did go and thank my boss for the flowers and tell her that I had every intention of telling her what the day off was for, I just couldn't get it out. She fully understood and told me to take as much time as I needed. Makes things so much easier them being understanding.
Family is going okay. Dad is being quiet but that's understandable. Mum thinks he's abit worried about the eulogy. Both my brothers have agreed to be pall bearers. I said I would if needed but we have enough male grandkids/relatives. When Dad asked Matt if he would Dad said you don't have to do much and Matt answered with Yeah, just not drop it! LOL Nothing like abit of levity in a sad situation.
