All those thoughts are very familiar, especially the superstitions. It still feels surreal that I had 7 pregnancies to have my 2 kids. My only non doubling beta pregnancy was a blighted ovum. My numbers were great with my later losses. That was the hardest because everything looked great...until it wasn't.

Feel free to keep writing this stuff. I get it. I didn't have ART but I had to take injectable meds while pregnant and saw an RE and everyone seemingly knew our history and that we were trying. It was very isolating and felt exposed too.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. I didn't realize you've had seven pregnancies total...yeah, that's a LOT for two kids. I can only imagine how beyond frustrating/painful that was. I am hoping I'm just part of the typical population that has had one or maybe two, but it has occurred to me I could be one of those people who have a lot...my mother had at least 4 or maybe even 5 m/c's before she had me (and then she went on to have 4 kids ( ... )

Oh by injectables I meant Lovenox and Neupogen not actually injectables that affect ovulation(which a good friend of mine used and ended up with twin boys Nathaniel's age.) she had late ovulation which was resulting in chromosomal abnormalities. I took the meds I did due to my immune system apparently attacking the embryos. At least that's what the specialist I went to thought.

Oh, okay. Lovenox...that's surprising. I thought you weren't even supposed to take Advil because of the blood-thinning properties...I guess obviously there's a reason to take that (and Neupogen). In any case, it clearly worked for you!

That is so awesome your friend had twins. I know it's naive, but I think I'd love have twins. Getting two in one...kind of a dream. They mentioned at my first appointment (in January) that if I didn't get pregnant in 6 months, they'd consider meds. At this point though, they were just like, "Okay, well, try again."
