1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Showed my family a whole city (and some of a country) that I knew better than they did, saw one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any last year and that worked out so well I think I'll do that again.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My second cousin's girlfriend Denni had a baby boy (Matteo) on December 23rd.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Nope.

5. What countries did you visit?
France, England, Ireland, Spain, Turkey.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A boyfriend would be nice. Also a job would be good, seeing as I'll need one to live after May.

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
No specific date, but the entire time from January through May, when I lived with a great family in Lyon.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Completing a year abroad.

9. What was your biggest failure?
The one that stands out for me is losing a job when it had barely started last February.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just the usual colds and allergies.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My vacations.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Caroline's, Ms. Tedesco's, Grace's.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Some French students' and my grandmother's.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Traveling.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Traveling. Seeing my family in Germany last June. Coming home (though that was bittersweet).

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
It would help if I paid more attention to music.

--i. happier or sadder? Depends about what, but mostly happier.
--ii. thinner or fatter? Neither.
--iii. richer or poorer? Poorer. By far.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Hanging out in Lyon.

I dunno.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
With my family at home.

Nope.

Grey's Anatomy.

No.

"Memoirs of a Geisha".

I can speak French.

French friends.

A guy.

"La Doublure", "John Tucker Must Die", "Pursuit of Happyness".

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Little enough that I only remember dinner at Alma de Cuba with the family. 22.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Sex.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Don't look like an American in France. I think it worked.

34. What kept you sane?
Before June: cooking, downloading TV on Limewire. After June: who knows.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Didn't really care.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I'll go with Vanessa on this one: It's all Bush's fault.

37. Who did you miss?
Before June: everyone in Philly. After June: my French family.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Annie-Philippine Toati-Prothin. I actually met her in 2005 but am choosing to disregard that.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.
I'm not much of one for life lessons. Though the ones TLC has are fairly amusing.

Again, it would help if I paid attention to music.
