Hot stuff out there but I did get half the coop wrapped in wire yesterday afternoon. Working with galvanized steel wire that is in rolls is NOT easy however I did manage to get it mostly straight save for some weird corners. I made a mistake in measurement in the back (the most important spots were the nests and roosts are but just a few minutes ago, I figure the extra wire that did not reach would be great in a section where I would going to have to buy more wire. I have to get some more anyway but at least these two sections that need to be filed do not need a lot so a smaller roll will do. Yesterday I also got the remaining three poles into the ground as the beginning framework for the door. I will have to expand the hole so I can put the last piece of steel in the ground but that isn't a problem. Deeper still any remaining wire will go.
Once the coop has all its wire up I can put up the wood for the top frames were again more wire will go to complete an enclosed coop. I think tomorrow I would like to see the door go up so I can put the chickens out there. They can't stay in that brooder any more. Of course if I do what I did yesterday I can probably finish the enclosed part tonight.
