Yesterday Karen and I were to do some saddle shopping and have a ride later on only I got ditched for a guy she met. I'm happy for her but could have really used some advice on improving my riding skills. Anyway, Kelly got a work out, bath and new breast collar out of my adventure. Talked with Opal asking her how Tyger is doing. Of course Tyger is going through all the "what if" factors. However, I have to agree with Opal about how Tyger handled the whole situation. Opal believes that her father spoils her rotten and thus she has little or coping skills. So Babe gets sick, nothing can be done and she worried about stuff that was completely unimportant (including her own comfort by abandoning Opal to pretty much watch Babe a lot of the time).
Ok, if Kelly ever gets sick with colic or shit like that you can damn well bet your ass I will be RIGHT THERE until I can come to a decision to put her down or go with surgery, etcetra. I'm not gonna hand my horse's well being over to someone else when she is MY horse, you know. Then again, people who are spoiled, have others do EVERYTHING for them have no coping skills, no means or mental know how to deal with drama. Eventually, they will learn as this is the nature of horses.
Hm.
