Nice weekend
Tired Friday after a late night Thursday at work writing syllabi; nice day teaching -- a fun studio class in which I had students who've been with me a semester now inform the new students what to expect; a great discussion about character, meaning, and acting in OpShop; drove home, despite being tired and not really wanting to after a full day teaching. Lots of phone calls, including a talk with a friend from OLO and one with Jimmy (best friend from college). Nice to get home, even though it's the first weekend I haven't been dying to leave Vermillion.
Saturday: Cleaning house; mage_girl's boys' Pinewood derby, followed by celebratory Culver's; Dinner party for neighbors and Fred's co-workers.
Today: LOTS of WOW; Nap on Fred's lap while Fred continued WOW; Writing and submitting Thesis Proposal; Mass at U of M Newman Center; Making yummy dinner (Mustard-encrusted tilapia filet's w/ edamame and burned toast, lol!); Skip-bo w/ Fred (he won); more WOW and continuing to get happily buzzed while Fred napped on my lap; bed.
Tomorrow: Translating Hansel & Gretel; Laundry; Dinner w/ Fred; Driving back to Verm-town.
Good thoughts lately. Life is good when you're skeptical and don't think you know it all, don't think you can do it all, and don't think you need to be perfect before you talk to people.
