Cats and visitors

First things first: Dante will have his hind leg amputated tomorrow morning in the 10-o'clock hour. Since the sarcoma is so high up the leg, the vet isn't sure that they'll be able to get all of the cancer. I'm hopeful but realistic. No matter what, I know I'm going to spoil my kitty rotten once I get home.

So, speaking of non-sequitors...

After today's Desert Song, I went out into the lobby to meet and greet, and one of my adult students from USD and his wife were there! They totally surprised me, and they're seeing all five of my shows this weekend! It really put a smile on my face and is the kind of surprise I've kind of secretly wished for -- many a show, I've thought to myself, "I wonder if that's so-and-so out there?" I'm going to spend the afternoon with them tomorrow, since I have an afternoon off.

Marge and Kathy's visit last week was really special, too. I didn't write about it at the time because of Dante, though. Highlights of the visit were walking through the OARDC Secrest Arboretum & Rose Garden, the Mansfield Carousel and the Carousel Magic Tour. Of course, there was also a lot of eating and game-playing as well (I got to introduce them to Skip-bo :-) They saw my 3 big shows, and seemed to enjoy them all. Very special, and Fred and I will catch up with them and my folks in the Wisconsin Dells on our way back from Wooster.

11 days / 9 shows and counting!
