Been to Finland pt 2.
Ooh I kind of forgot I had more photos to post about the trip, and the main reason I went to Finland so soon again! What was that - third time back home this year? Yes.
I took this photo from the train window as I was waiting for it to pull off the Helsinki station. Some kind of a vintage train rolled to a halt there, idk for what reason but it did look impressive!

After two years in Iceland traveling by train feels kind of exceptional. I had forgotten just how unbelievably clean the trains are or maybe I just got super lucky with mine, who knows.
As for the reason of my trip... YUP YUP! Congrats to niidel and hui_lai_lee! The party was awesome but you could have booked the weather a bit better, after a heavy-ish rain and followed by a sunny day Lahti was like a greenhouse.
This is how you know a wedding has been a success. JK I wore bad shoes + lace tights, that combo is not advisable. I had more of these on my heels but maybe I'll spare you more photos of my ugly feet, I already filled my shock value quota by trying to impress lucilla_1789 with them (tusen tack for the bandaids).
Back in Helsinki at E and S's place the weather was still hot, as the dog could confirm. He spent quite long whiles in the coolest spot of the whole apartment IOW under the bed. Poor smelly old doggie.
E & S also favour more dangerous types of pets. Here's the bloodthirsty beast who's always on the lookout for a new juicy ankle.

Lol noisy (prolly just a typo though but I'm childish enough to lol at it just the same).
Things are rather peaceful in Iceland. Our autumn schedules still aren't up on Ugla which means nothing ever changes. I should remember to do some paperwork, er, find the arse to do them actually so for that part nothing's still ever changing. I got to try playing a langspil, that was pretty epic. It's an instrument a little bit like kantele except that it can also be played with a bow (can be plucked too) and now I'm burning to learn playing one, but musical instruments are hardly for impulsive shopping. If only someone else I knew had one so I could have a few more tries and then decide... if only...
I also tried hovering a bit.
