Just have to say...LOVED IT! I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it but I haven't been to the theatre in the longest time so I went with my family but I'm so glad I went. It was very witty and well put together. The songs/snippets of songs/medleys were went together perfectly. (Although I'm accustomed to the Glee covers of most of the songs.)

I can't get over how funny it was. There was something constantly going on and the energy was so high you were constantly engaged. Franz was absolutely hilarious. I would go again just to see him (and he was just the understudy last night!) There wasn't a single moment when he was on stage and not doing something rather outlandish. And I must admit that the narrator was very well cast and written.

It was amazing to the the transformation in Elicia MacKenzie. I saw her as Maria in The Sound of Music. It's ridiculous how GOOD and versatile she is. Unbelievable.

Technically, it would have been either a dream or a nightmare to work. They had some flying wig changes and those wigs had to be SECURE as they were always banging their heads about. The set was huge so they would have had no room backstage (The Royal Alex is not a very large theatre.) The costumes were very flashy and it must have taken a ridiculous amount of planning to have normal looking costumes turn into tearaway pieces without malfunction.

The only really weird thing about the entire experience was the fact that you can eat and drink in the theatre nowadays. I guess I'm really old school and think it's really disrespectful (having grown up with theatre etiquette) but it just irked me. But I guess they need someway to get people back to the theatre.
