Lyssie was just finishing up as she walked towards the spot, she wore the blue dress he had gotten her and was busying herself with putting the ribbons in her hair. She'd gotten some very nice crimson colored lipstick from a friend, her hair pulled back into a tight ponytail as she hummed. She did her best to make sure she didn't do anything that would offend his people, but at the same time she needed to be comfortable. She managed to get the last little ribbon end tucked and tied in her hair and gave a small sigh of relief. Finally.

She smiled as she neared Kailin and gave a wave. "Hello Kailin"

Kailin smiled when he saw her approached, took her hand and kissed it. This was Centauri formality and he figured he might as well get her used to it. You look radiant my lady.

He looked her over and gently arranged a ribbon that was out of place.

"Did I do everything right?" She wrinkled her nose a bit, she wasn't so sure, but she did hold the lipstickup. "I got this."

You will be fine my dear. Kailin smiled and offered her his arm. As I said previously it is two days journey to Davo. We will be traveling with my crew as I could not arrange a private transport. They will respect you. I believe the worst you shall face from them is unabashed compliments.

That made her blush, she'd get used to it possibly. "I"m sure I can put up with those, and it's fine, I wouldn't expect any special treatment, I really don't like it."

Woman are treated by most in our society with special consideration. It is by nature of how our society has matured with some of our biological differences from other races. Kailin smiled. If you feel bothered all you must do is ask and I will attend to the crew.

She gave a nod. "I'm sure they'll be fine with me Kailin."

Perhaps it is well that you do not speak Centauri. Kailin smiled and led her to the ship which became visible. Instead of the ladder though there was a narrow ramp.

"Is that so Kailin?" She tilted herhead and smiled, "A ramp?"

Kailin laughed and blushed a little. I believe you would find very little difference between the attitude of human military men and those among my people when it comes to the talk between men.

She smiled a bit and started up it. "Yes, well, I can handle band members of a band where they have their pick of women. I"m sure I can handle your men."

They have seen no woman for six months. Kailin smiled and followed. Do not count on your experience. Centauri place unmarried men in non-officer positions. I have a crew of 75 unmarried men. I believe I will be ordering punishment regularly for disrespect over the next several hours.

She blinked. "That's a lot of men..." She stepped fully onto the ship and cleared her throat, glancing around.

I have arranged private quarters for you. They.. they were once reserved for my wife but I believe you will enjoy them as well. It will give you privacy should you require it.
