Things I need to do:

1.  Get back into shape...for playing the violin.  It sounds goofy, I know.  But between practicing and hour yesterday and an hour today, my back hurts and is full of knots, my neck has a knot in it, there's a chinrest bruise on my chin, my left shoulder hurts, and both upper arms hurt.  Absolutely pathetic.  However, my playing is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be after a two and a half month hiatus.  I'll take being physically out of shape over being musically out of shape any day.

2.  Get back into shape for playing the piano - musically, not physically.  I randomly decided to transcribe a song the other night (it's still only half done), and couldn't remember which keys were which.  Well, I knew A, but felt stupid having to count up and down from A.  And my hands couldn't remember what to do.  (Sidenote - I really wish I had an electric violin.  Keyboards are so nice becuase you can plug headphones in and play whenever you want without disturbing anyone, but I can't do that for a normal violin.  That sucks, becuase I always feel like practicing at ridiculous times, like 1am.)

3.  Stretch and do yoga to help fix back and arms.  And the rest of me.

4.  Not sign to myself while driving in the car.  Stoplights, fine, but while the car is moving?  Not so much.  I left St Kate's last night and was still in "ASL mode" when I drove to pick Nic up.  I usually talk to myself in the car (or *ahem* sing along with the radio), but last night it was all in ASL.  Some drivers gave me very odd looks, and I whacked my hand on the steering wheel at one point.  And I really don't think it's safe to try to sign along with the music...I start thinking about the proper translation, and then nearly miss my exit.  On the plus side, the drive goes by very quickly when thinking about proper translations of songs.

5.  Actually do stuff, instead of sitting here looking around and realizing that I don't have anything that I absolutely have to do.  (Besides write a thank you letter for a scholarship.)  It's such a novel feeling!  I could just sit here and play The Sims 2 or watch movies or read all day.  I like this.

6.  Buy chocolate.
