So far, so good. Been going over some basic stuff with my predecessor, attended my first Monday Staff Meeting, and am now killing time as my predecessor is off taking her son (who missed the bus) to school. Everyone here seems really nice.

I've got a new job! My current boss is still out-of-office, so I just emailed a letter of resignation to her and cc'd her boss. We'll see how that goes over.

Still sore from my "procedure", back at work since Monday and it's been HELLACIOUSLY busy, and now littleface and ole Riley Ben are sick. At least the elder lads are still relatively ok... for now.

I'm applying for a (hopefully) better, more technical position here at work. I'm not *TOTALLY* underqualified, but it will take some training/ramping up for me to get fully up-to-speed if they'll accept me. Wish me luck!!

Thanksgiving was nice: my family was out of town and we went to littleface's parents' for lunch. Fun and delicious as always. We ended up bringing home a cat that had been rescued from their barn, so everyone welcome Smudge to the family ( Read more... )

Supah-slow day at work, and most of my work pals are out on PTO for the holiday. Wish I could be home tending to my sick littleface.
