Hey what's this a post from me? Crazy talk!
Yes it's true, after so long I've finally got the the time/energy for writing again, for several reasons.
Reason one - I decided to go to Georgetown! Cue the falling confetti, balloons, etc. NYU actually offered me more financial aid, but for several reasons (one of which was a very vocal alumni with a very bad experience I met at GU's open house) I decided I liked it bet. here's another reason:
IT'S SO RIDICULOUSLY PRETTY HERE I CAN'T STAND IT.
EVEN WHEN IT'S GROSS OUT THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. JESUS.
I will be in debt for the rest of my life but it's so worth it. There's an insane amount of options to tweak the major to your interests, from creative to political to business to technical, and combined with that, it's a world-renowned education.
Go to
http://cct.georgetown.edu/ to learn more and check out pictures of the back of my head. There's some pictures of me on their Facebook from the front - don't go there.
Reason two - I've decided to start going part-time at my job for health reasons. Ever since around November I've been getting terrible stomach pains. The issue is, no one knows why. They've literally checked everything with no luck (but paid me for the privilege). So my doctor has decided it must be stress. Now admittedly work has been stressful for me, and rest hard to come by (getting up at 5:30 for work and not getting home until 6 most days is a part of it) but you know what's also stressful? Not being able to pay my bills. So I went havsies. Mom's pushing me to do part-time work in town on my free days to recoup the money, in other words, I don't think she was really listening.
So other stuff that's going on with me:
Thanks mostly to these weird health issues I've been having, I've lost a ridiculous amount of weight. It's mostly due to all the weird diet restrictions they've been putting me on. Either way, very few of my clothes fit now. Which was awesome until I went to White House Black Market to get work clothes and spent an ungodly amount of money. Oops.
I'm in the market for a new computer, but I can't decide if I want a new netbook (for note-taking) or a new desktop (for GAMES YAY :D) The thing that sticks in the back of my mind is the chance I'll video game studies, and if I do that I might want a desktop computer to play the games I might get assigned. I mean they have a computer lab (saw it at the open house) but considering ROTC is across the way? That might not work.
The Red Sox and Celtics both won today, which does not excuse their recent and profound suckiness.
My novel has made no progress for a freaking age, which is pretty depressing since I'm literally at the ending. I was thinking about maybe changing my plans (I can always edit) just to make it easier, but still... I have gotta finish so I can work on the sequel. YES I HAVE PLANS FOR A SEQUEL WHAT OF IT.
I can't find the power cord for my Nintendo 64 so therefore my entire life is ruined forever. *ignores copies of Chrono Trigger and Crisis Core I've barely started*
ANNNNNYWAY I'm going to try and post more often again because I should have more time now. Especially as I go through the fun exciting journey of moving! To DC! For grad school!
Yay!
