Granted, I know I don't post on here all that often... Certainly not often enough for an absence of two weeks to really be noticed, but I need to tell ya'll anyway that I'm going to be gone for at least the next two weeks.
I'm heading out to Oklahoma with my dad here in about 7-8 hours, as we got the call just before midnight that my grandmother passed away.
She was always a little spitfire of a woman, and it's hard to really believe she's gone. I'm sure it will start to sink in more tomorrow, or when we actually get there... right now I'm just alternating between tears and that surrealistic calm state where you KNOW what's going on, but it still doesn't yet FEEL like it.
So, especially given my recent upswing in activity around here, if I'm oddly quiet, that would be why.
I'll try and post some if/when I can, but no guarantees.
The main blessing is that she only really started to go seriously downhill within the past couple of days, so thankfully, it wasn't a long and drawn out deal.
I guess that's all for now. At the very least, I think that's about all my brain is capable of processing as I get my stuff together and get ready to leave.
