Onlineness isn't much, and perhaps it is easy to discount. I consider myself your friend. *hugs* I know the feeling of being all alone. It is hard to reach out and easy to believe that no one will like who you are 'if they really knew you'. It is easier to believe such things and pain makes one feel real. However, it is truly hard, and perhaps near unattainable to break past all of that, to break past the self-fulfilling prophecy, the pattern of mind-set that leads you around in circles, always back to where you were instead of where you wish to be. It sucks. It is a never ending struggle.
We all need something to believe in. The hardest thing to believe in is ourselves. In a way, it is easier to believe in God than in oneself. And... it isn't a bad thing. At least, this is what I have found. (not saying that is right for you, but just what I have experienced)
