Heart attack? In and out of asystole, so I think so. Also, now Type 2 diabetic.

Right now, I'm up in Memorial in room 805. I was found passed out in my hotel room and I had asystole and they inserted a leadless pacemaker and my blood sugar was over 600, so they've been monitoring me and I am now a Type 2 Diabetic. I had no idea of the history of diabetes in my family as my Mama and Grandpa were not Type 2 diabetics.

I didn't know that I was sick. I thought I had a viral infection that I would normally get every two to three years when I couldn't eat and thought "here we go again."

I don't remember anything from that Monday, but I'm told that I was in my hotel bathroom. I only remember trying to drink some water on Sunday night and going to bed in the recliner that I had.

I'm told that I was in the ICU for six days. I don't remember that. I thought it was only a day.

They had me on Norvasc which gave me orthostatic blood pressure and I am not over those side effects yet.

I know I came in with swallowing problems. However, they also had me on Protonix and that causes swallowing problems. One night, I was so scared because it felt like I couldn't breathe, but then I fell asleep. It was definitely closing off my throat because I was constantly choking on food and now I'm not doing that.

They also don't take me outside and I am going crazy up here. The angles are all weird and I've not see any nature in weeks.

I can rarely get online because the hospital wifi sucks.

I wish that all health records were kept electronically and sent from place to place so you didn't have to try to constantly advocate for yourself with the side effects that you definitely have.
