I had wanted to be productive in some way today, but no . . . instead, I'm sick. Yeah, I'm sick. I've been in bed most of the day and resting.
I can't be too terribly sick because Marbles doesn't refuse to give me kisses. However, I have a dry/sore throat and no voice and am cold and sometimes sneeze and wheeze. My head feels like it has fog inside.
At least I can breath, though.
Last night, Hixon's had a memorial Christmas service for all those who have passed away since last Christmas. We went to that. It was a little hard, of course, as Christmas will be hard, too.
I know that it's never going to truly get easier, but I'll go on with life and in that way, it will seem like it is "easier."
Well, I guess, the hard parts will actually be the things were my Daddy was actually very much involved. There aren't a lot of memories of Thanksgiving or Christmas with him. The one time he and I cooked a ham and that's the really good memory I have of Christmas with him.
Anyway, you don't expect to go and see the pictures of three other people you knew, only when you knew that one of those three had passed away.
Still, it was Monday that my throat started feeling a little scratchy, but I had thought that I had some food stuck in it because I had eaten two of those candy cane oreos and I thought perhaps the cookie had gotten caught in my throat.
On Tuesday night, it was obvious that it wasn't something stuck in my throat and only the first time I could detect any type of sickness, though. I got my garlic oil pills and my vitamin C after the Christmas memorial service and have been dosing myself with that stuff regularly since last night.
However, I still got sick. Maybe it has made it less than it would have been. it is not fun being sick, but at least it has not been that bad, either. I don't feel too terrible right now - just very lethargic and without voice and like my head is full of fog.
I thought I was going to write about something else, but I can't think of what it was if I was. Yeah, sick.
