I havn't been updating... anything much lately. I don't know why. It's not that I don't have time, because I do. It's not that I don't have stuff to talk about, because I do. I guess I'm just not feeling the vibe to share... I don't know why that is either. It's not like I don't like to talk, so perhaps it's the 'no one cares what I say anyways' feeling making its yearly round. Who knows. I'm in good spirits lately anyways.
So, I'd have to look in to my photos to remember correctly, but Halloween happened. It was truely awesome. There really wasn't a good reason for it to have been as fun as it was, but it was fun. I can say without difficulty that it was the best outing so far this year, and that wasn't because of how crappy most of my other outings have been.
I've got an exciting week or two comming up soon. I'm pretty pumped. We're starting work on a project that isn't terribly dull in class. I'm thinking it'll be fun, though I'm not sure how we're going to deligate the work in my group yet, but we'll figgure something out. That doesn't have to be decided for two weeks anyways.
The big awesome comming up is the rapidly shrinking countdown in my LJ. If you missed it, as of today it reads: '10 | 5 Days' Ooh mysterious.
What is it? Days till Wii. I'm pumped. I'm big on this thing, as anyone who talks games to me knows, and anyone in earshot when I get rambling. But the other sweet-awesome news to go with it: Invitational Event in Toronto.
Yeah, that's the 5. On Tuesday, I'm going to be heading downtown to Ontario Place. There's a Nintendo Preview event, registration only, that I'm in on, along with Riley and possibly Gang. I might even win a Wii or snag some swag. That'd be awesome. :D But most of all, 5 days before it hits shelves, I'm gonna know what the Wii is like. And I can't wait.
Also, as for getting one, I'm not so worried about stock. There may be less PS3s in Canada than I have digits, but the initial reports on huge Wii shipments seem to only get truer. Some chains in the US are getting as many as _70_ units on launch day. Some are getting MORE. I don't think I'll need to worry, but I still want to be there bright and early. I've got plans in place, we'll see.
So yeah, I'm excited.
Something else as of late-- I've taken to sculpting styrafoam. I made a pumpkin randomly for halloween. But just the other day I also made some... freaky little creature. I dunno, it creeps me out, I call it the Eater of Dreams. Huge gaping mouth, enormous flat teeth, sickly skin tone and a tail. What's not to love?
I still have a bunch of foam and some mostly-spare time, however. Any suggestions as to what I should make?
Also, I'm still looking for work/way to sell my art. Suggestions there would also be welcome. I've been applying to stuff in want-ads, but no fruition there yet. We'll see.
Hmmm. That's it really. I feel kind of nebulous... It's strange. I'm surrounded with more people that know my name this year than any year ever before... I'm around more people, and closer to less. Peculiar.
Off to bed.
