So I finally went to see the doctor about my heel pain (one heel has been hurting in the morning since the day after my sister's wedding, June 3). The doctor confirmed what my mother said about it being Plantar Fasciitis and actually told me what to do to relieve it (mom neglected to share the stuff she knew her friend does to relieve it)
Unlike what mom said it is not weight related but anatomical and hormonal to a degree (Doctor said it tends to hurt more around that time of the month, oh joy!)
So Doctor told me different exercises and things to do to help and one part I find highly amusing, I am no longer supposed to wear flat shoes.
Why I find this amusing is partially because of how many people I've had yell at me in the past about walking around on the balls of my feet (I used to do it all the time whether in shoes or bare foot). Mom has yelled at me over the last few years about not owning any flats (outside of a few pairs of flip flops and some work boots until I bought flats this year) and in high school the gym teachers used to yell at me that I should be using my whole foot to run, I liked running on the balls of my feet it felt better, using the whole foot hurt.
Apparently my habit and preference for pussy footing around (my grandma's term for when she caught me prancing around on the balls of my feet - she never yelled at me for it cause she thought it was cute) is natural and correct for me. And that suits me just fine.
just ignore me,
