(no subject)
I think I’m having another Halloween slump this year. Despite it being Oct 20th already I can’t seem to get myself in much of the spirit just yet other than seeing what spooky goodies are around in stores. I haven’t even put up any decorations in my cubicle other than the baby pumpkins and gourd. I may wear my cat ears and tail to work again, though, next Friday. We'll see how the week goes.
Went to the Ossahatchee Indian Festival/Pow Wow Saturday with Mandy; watching the dance competition always fascinates me. I did manage to get a few videos and pictures, which I thought came out pretty well. It was unseasonably cold that day, too, but I honestly didn’t mind it so much save for my hands and nose going numb! It started drizzling on us while we were waiting on frybread but it didn’t come pouring down. After we were done there we headed back to town where, along the way, I got a text from Sheryl - turns out she was giving matchmaking another go with a guy she’s known for a few years. We ended up over at her cousin’s place after seeing “Where the Wild Things Are” and I met the guy. He seems pretty nice and kind of quiet but I think if things do go anywhere between us, it’ll have to go slow. Like I’ve told a few friends, I don’t need/want another Curt. Feel kind of bad that I haven't talked to Matt since Saturday but this week has been kicking my ass. Last night I was in bed by 9:30 (heinously early for me) and I am beyond ready for bed, now.
Think this weekend is going to be cleaning for me if I don't end up having to work. Need to start sorting out my room before someone does it for me, and I really don't want to do it but oh well. May work in Pope's Haunted Farm this weekend sometime too but we'll see.
