In Advance of Friday
Random jottings at the close of Thursday.
- Tomorrow is Comic Book Day. I am fortunate in that I work about seven or eight blocks away from a decent comic book shop. Every Friday, I walk down to Big Brother Comics and indulge in a few issues of whatever looks like it might be good. If I'm lucky, the Sacramento heat will allow me to make my journey without transforming me into a nerd-bespattered wonk puddle.
- Strawberry ready-mixed Cuervo margaritas: Like Jonestown, but tastier!
SIDE NOTE: When it gets hot around here, my taste in booze slides decidedly towards "trashy" and "girl-drink drunk".
- I just had a conversation with Michelle about Jesus using his hand-stigmata as a masturbatory aid. This is one of the reasons we're married.
- I constructed a Cozy Coupe last weekend. My daughter is happy with it, which really takes the sting out of doing it twice because I'm apparently too retarded to attempt the highly technical task of toy car construction.
