How To Make The Coming Week Better

Actually, I don't have a recipe for making the coming week better, so that's a rather misleading headline. But I want to make the week better. So, lack of recipe notwithstanding, how do I do it?

It's Monday, and I managed to get my exercises done first thing after waking up; I'm going to stick my neck out and say it presages a good week.

*hugs to you, and wishes for your good week*

If I did it once, I can do it again is a good motto for tackling stuff that's daunting. I hope your week goes well!

LOL, whenever any of the New England area sports teams are in contention for anything, I **never** watch the games (even when I was living with Mom and so had access to a TV). I always feel like I will completely jinx them by paying attention!

Sadly, magical thinking let me down; the Cubs lost (although it was apparently quite the pitchers' duel, and the final was just 1-0.) I'm still rooting for them to take the National League Pennant, but apparently we're not going to do it the easy way. Sigh.

So you don't have a TV? I suspect you may be one of the wisest amongst us ....

No, I can't afford a TV. I hardly ever watch it--it's mostly a screen I hook up to a DVD player.

Bummer about the Cubs. I still remember the Sox losing the AL to the Yankees in 2003 (when they were thisclose to winning), and it was like a funeral in Boston the next day. It did make the next year all the sweeter, but oh, man. October 2003 was a rough month. : (

Yeah, and we've got 108 years of disappointment to try to beat. Argh.
