Update on the status of me

NaNo is going, although the odds of me reaching 50,000 are rather huge at this point. Now, if I could write roughly 6,500 today and tomorrow both, I'd be back on track. HaHaHaHaHaHaHA! I crack myself up. Still, I've written a bit each day, and I'm happy about that. If I can rebuild the habit of writing on a daily basis, that'll be even better than finishing 50,000 in 30 days and not writing again for the rest of the year. Um, except for SeSa, because I committed to that.

I've felt blechy for the past few days . . . I typed years at first; think that was Freudian? . . . and had back pain on Thurs. and Fri. Given the old bladder infection joy I had two weeks ago, I decided that a quick trip to the dr was in order. The test wasn't 100% positive for kidney infection, but he gave me a Rx for bactrum anyway--5 days' worth. Bactrum makes me feel even more blechy. On the plus side, I have hopes that the antibiotic will leave me feeling better overall. And I've got the godawful cranberry juice and kefir (similar to yogurt, only more of a drink) going so as to avoid other issues.

Y'all wanted to know that, didn't you? I don't even know what TMI *means*, people.

At school, students have been completely, hyperly insane. Friday was the football game between my town and our "twin city," which is an epic rivalry, of course. We won. Given that I taught roughly a third of the team, I actually care and am happy for them. But mostly, I'm glad it's over so that maybe the kids will settle down. Although, with Thanksgiving and Christmas so close, I'm probably out of luck. *sigh*

Politically speaking, I'm thrilled for the nation, even though Texas is once again stuck with That Ass, Jr. as governor. (Sr. is currently at the White House.)

Will and I are watching Snow Day, after which we get How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Wizard of Oz (on TBS, if anyone's interested). I'm thinking of making some chocolate chip cookies, although not if I feel blechy at that point.
