Throughout fields, and wastelands, and high meadow grasses, the dusty roads are threading on and winding still, and electricity poles are half-plaited with holly. It's hot, yet a breeze from a bay nearby brings freshness time and again. Once a level, sleek concrete-surfaced highway, it's now slashed apart by green blades, to the extent of loose shards of the slabs giving the rolling feeling under your feet. Verdant crest in the middle serves as stripes on the road.

Lower and lower still the sun descends, shadows stealing deeper tween the bushes and waymarks, water blinking amidst old ramshackle, yet alive street lights; a wind-carried web, flowing like melting iron, whilst the autumn season shimmers on the horizon.

An old, old cafè blends with twilight, almost on the shore of the ocean, so near these days, - a two-storeyed building made of wooden planks, an oval plate depicts, "open"; the fish-shaped weather vane lubberly splashes about in air waves, swinging with a propeller set on its nose. Now and then a breeze would frolic, and the fish will squeak in a sluggish way... Afterwards, the propeller would wind up turning into a no-spoked flat wheel, and due to its hyroscopic ways the fish probably would get a little steadier on the fins...

In a fine and gentle way, so as not to wake the person up, the frame sneaks past a table and a half-empty cup of coffee, at which the waitress and the manager of this cafè sleeps, a green-haired girl. Her one foot is bare - the slipper has fallen down... There's also a photo camera on the table, and when the girl wakes up and finishes combing her naughty, unruly hair, she would definitely take a shot of the cup - just as a memory...

And far over there, on a pier, a boy and another girl chitchat, and another amusing person called Misago takes a relaxed peek at them, moved, now and again. That chat's topic is about that girl, Alpha. Why not? She's nice, at times funny, or astute, and also she cooks fine maple coffee, and plays yue-qin too. Moreover, she usually finds the time to have fun with everyone around... Well, she does have time for this now as everyone's life is slow and relaxed, and so rare guests at Alpha Cafè are these kind of people whom one would call in such a cold manner as 'customer'.

Alpha attends everybody in a hearty, pleasured and amusing way.

At times she suddenly becomes very quiet, as if looking someplace afar. Then once more she comes to, and immediately blurts out something that people are smiling at, - possibly either laughing at Alpha as she is, or just because everything feels so good.

The yue-qin's surreal sound raises and flies in the thin air, dances about you like annoying sparrows, and then gives elation and caress by strumming resonant moon strings of its yellow rays, so close that you're feeling likely to find yourself, too, flying over meadows, bays, over the quiet country cafè, like a thin-winged stratoplane - huge, seemingly marking its presence in every corner of this small world, yet so weightless and ethereal...

All this is just so common, bright and unconstrained - the coffee, the pier, the bay, the yue-qin, the android girl Hasseno Alpha. Humane and happy to the ends of her green hair.

Shall you not admire some happiness?
