(no subject)
I guess I missed the memo about updating yesterday. It seems like journalers everywhere were out in full force. But alas, I'm always the last to know. So here I am running behind the bandwagon desperately trying to catch up.
Lots of excitment in my little corner of the world. I applied for another job with Consol. Don't get me wrong, I love my job. It's a great little job. I make some copies, I fill in some spreadsheets, I check my email all day and that's that. But it's only a temporary type thing with the 'possibility' of getting something better at the end. (The end being December...maybe February...maybe December 2006) So when I got a company wide email advertising an opening for a clerk in the land department, I signed right up. I have an interview on Monday. It's basically the same type of job...but the full-time, grown-up version without the annoying coworkers and traveling involved. So I'm pretty excited about it.
And even if I don't get the job, it was offered to internal employees first, so that means it'll go to someone else in the company who will vacate a job that I might want. Or I'll just continue on the path that I'm on now and see what happens in the future.
So in the next few weeks I may be frantically moving to Pittsburgh or going back to Moundsville. Moundsville: Home of lots of coal dust and an air conditioner that makes the room sound like it's next to a wind tunnel.
