Jan 21, 2009 13:08

Setting: School gymnasium right before Inauguration
Characters: Blaine - 5th grade student
Ms. A - Blaine's 5th grade music teacher

(Blaine turns around in seat to face Ms. Anderson)
Blaine: Ms. A, are you burning up inside?

(Ms. Anderson leans forward)
Ms. A: Excuse me? What?

Blaine: Are you burning up inside? You know, like angry?

Ms. A: Why would I be angry?

Blaine: Because McCain didn't win.

(Ms. A looks slightly taken back)

Ms. A: What makes you think I voted for McCain?

(Blaine leans forward to whisper)
Blaine: Because, you know, because you're white.

END SCENE
