So today was the last day of high school EVER!!!!!!!! That's pretty crazy. It seems like it's been forever, and yet it doesn't seem like it's been five years... I don't understand myself. So I'm driving home after dropping off crazy Laura, who when leaving school said goodbye to everyone and everything we saw (ie. "this is the last time i'll see that light post. Goodbye mr. light post.") I was thinking that I was all free and could come home and relax, cause i've got nothing to do, but as soon as i get home, mom starts firing chores at me left and right, and booking blocks of my time for her use (example: tomorrow from 9-10 a.m. i will be gardening in the backyard. yay!!) So much for freedom. Oh well.
Today was one of the best double lunch excursions ever, except it was actually a 4th lunch excursion. It was definitely the biggest one ever, with 11 people at aqua golf. It was sweet.
This weekend was good fun. As usual, I worked on saturday, and it was a beautiful day, so it was crazy busy and I did 4 rides. The first was my lesson, so it was sweet. Next were two kids from Saunders who have taken riding lessons for several years, so that was sweet too. My third ride was crazy though. It was a girl guides ride. There were 20 of them, so we had 3 staff and 3 volunteers on the trail. It was possibly the strangest trail I've ever had. A little over halfway through the ride, the girl behind me got really frustrated with her horse eating, dropped the reins, jumped off the horse, and ran into the bushes crying. Yes, she ran into the bushes. Sketchy. So, I hopped off my horse and followed her, and the first thing she said when I got up to her was "There's nothing you can say that will make me get back on that horse." To make a long story short (cause it did take awhile) she got back on the horse, I walked with her, and my little horse followed the trail on his own like the good littleboy that he is. The last ride was a pretty typical family trail, and it was fine. At the end of the day, Tom took me tractor driving, and it worked out pretty well, so I think I'll be ready for that in the summer.
Saturday night at Marc's was good fun. Looked at the grade 9 yearbook, learned about crazy punk mosh dancing, ate some vegan tacos and cookies, felt really sick and stole all Marc's kleenex. Sounds like a good time to me.
Sunday I mostly stayed in bed cause I was sick, and I think my parents thought I was hungover... but i was definitely driving, so I'm wondering what they think of me...
And on one final note to a long entry: SCHOOL'S OVER!!!!!!!!!
