Three days left.

There's one word that about sums up the day ahead.

Unghhhhh...

I must have gotten all of four or five hours of sleep last night, between working late and stress and my room being too hot, and then was awakened before my alarm by the maintenance crew at the park. Weed-wackers, to be precise.

And today is kind of crucial, too. -__- Hopefully I can make it through the workday, maybe take a power nap when I get home, and get back to business. It's going to be another long night.

Everything has flat color, plus the background of the picture is mostly done, and today I get to render the main figure and foreground.

I got a list of alumni who are participating in the show, and there are just over 200 people on it, including real working illustrators like Hala Wittwer, Guy Francis, Jon McNaughton (you may have seen his gallery at the mall). I was sad that Brett Helquist (Series of Unfortunate Events) isn't on the list. Kinda puts my modest offerings in perspective, but hey! I'm in a show with serious people! Gotta remind myself that I'm not doing too badly, though, considering I have a steady design job and I only graduated 4 years ago..

Regardless, today calls for self-medication: ibuprofen and hot chocolate.
