It's so weird. The whole time I've been home from school I've either just been sitting around my house or have been out with friends. But all the times I have been home, and the few times I ate dinner with my family and spent some time with them, my mom still says I'm never home and we never spend time together. I try to make a point to stop in & visit with my mom a little bit every day. I mean, some days its impossible cos of my schedule or something. (She works full time, 9-530 and doesnt get home until 6-ish.) But I still try really hard to chat with her a bit. We leave notes for each other to read in the morning // when I wake up. My dad & I aren't close, but he's home all the time. We don't really talk. He watches tv in the living room and then I'm in my neck of the house, on the computer or in my room. *shrug* It's different with everyone's parents.
