don't want to study
Grrrrr...I hate being so lazy. I should be studying for my midterm tomorrow but, obviously, I'm not. I was having such a good, productive day too. Oh well...I also have a ten page paper to turn in tomorrow, which I haven't started. I need another vacation!
Last sunday on my way back to Ithaca I stopped at Storm King Art Center- it sounds like an amusement park, I know, but it's not. It is a huge park made for the sole purpose of displaying outdoor sculptures. It was so amazing. We spent about three and a half hours just walking through the place and I still don't think we actually saw everything. Some of my favorite sculptures were by George Rickey- his are made out of stainless steel and they are kinetic so the wind moves them in really interesting ways. The detail of the landscaping at this place is also really incredible-of course, it also helped that this past weekend was supposed to be peak color in the area. Still, everyone should go to Storm King- it's well worth the visit! It's in Mountainville, NY, about an hour and a half outside of NYC. A word of advice- wear hiking boots or comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for hills!
The rest of my life is moving on the same as usual- too fast. Not enough sleep. But what else is new, right?
