It's a Girl!!!!!!!!
Something, parents in former times got to hear only after the birth of their child: today I was told that I am expecting a girl! I am thrilled out of my wits! Of course I claimed that a boy would have been fine, my main wish being that the child should be healthy. But to be honest, I wished for a girl. Now I know that I don't have to look for a boy's name anymore - what a relief. She will be named Désirée Judith and that's final! Yay, power to the women! :-)
It was nice to have Chris with me. Although I couldn't really make out what his feelings were. He was quite subdued and reserved, but that could have been due to his bottom line "it's your project". To know what he thinks or feels, I have to ask him, and even then, what he says doesn't necessarily have to be what is subconsciously moving him. A complicated person.
But look at the picture: this is what Chris' sister Jenny looks like. I hope the battle of the genes will play off favorably and let Désirée have some of her cuteness...
