Dude, go for the bear. Teddy bears are the shit. Wow, um, I'm really sorry for that last sentence. Or, if you really wanna get flowers, you could get her the bear and have it hold 2 roses. That's really romantic. :D

There's all sorts of intermediary words for love. They just don't see terrifically common use, and most of them can't be used to address somebody.
