Ok, this Latin is so mind-numbing that it's making me want to go read Cleanness instead.  Et ne prebende vel officia ecclesiastica vendantur.  (I can't sort this grammar exactly, though I guess I am getting the basic idea.)  Or fifty pages of God being violently driven out of his "mode" by the fleshly sins of mankind.  Oy.
