First of all, Early English Books Online is made of awesome.

So is Thomas Heywood's "Hierarchie of the blessed angels," printed in 1635, which, because he takes up the old "fairies and devils etc are really fallen angels" belief, is chock-freaking-full of folklore, fairy tales, and supernatural romps.  I suppose as poetry it's a little, er, not ( Read more... )
