Well, here I am with another post...
Summer doesn't give much to do nowadays; not that I need to remind other people out there..and thus, another visit to LJ commences.
Last weekend, my family and I went to Singapore via Singapore Air Lines; we stayed at the Royal @ Queens hotel for three nights. Upon arrival at the airport, I was like, o_o "wow". It was HUGE, not to mention clean-it hardly isn't in that country. They put a lot of effort into maintaining the natural beauty of the city. There are trees and flowers everywhere; and almost every corner of the street has a trash can. Unlike here in the Philippines, they drive on the left side of the road; the driver's seat is on the right, which needed a little getting used to, seeing as the car doors are also the other way around. It was a little confusing at first, but we got used to it eventually.
We visited a lot of tourist attractions in Singapore; there was the Night Safari, where I had my dad buy me a cute cat mini-clock and a plushie tiger. (meow!) :) The Night Safari was an enjoyable place, better than any zoo here in the Philippines.
We also went to Sentosa, Jurong bird park, the Omnitheatre and Underwater World. A heck of a lot of walking, though. My feet felt like a big pair of blisters by the time we returned to the hotel. One very important lesson I learned was: bring more comfortable shoes. Converse chucks do not qualify, by the way. They're stylish, but not very comfy on long walks. I learned that the hard way. Ouch.
Along the way, I once again chanced upon some guys playing soccer. This time, they were in a soccer field- and a BIG one at that. That wasn't the only time I saw the soccer ball, though. There were soccer guys in Sentosa and Underwater World. Makes me wonder if all that really was pure coincidence...hmm../:)
Besides having sore feet at the end of the day, my little brother added to our list of problems, along with never-ending complaints about the food and whatnot. The brat kept getting lost in the crowds-thrice,when I last counted-and we had to retrace our steps just to find the little booger! Once, our ride on the MRT left us behind 'cause he got lost on the way to the ticket counter! That got us worried for a few minutes, but luckily, he wasn't that far away. Ugh. I even suggested that my parents get a leash next time.
So much for Rest and Relaxation. Oh well, I had fun anyway...the ride on Singapore Air Lines was a unique experience. There were screens in front of every seat, as well as a remote/ game controller placed on the left arm-rest. There was an array of games, movies and T.V shows to choose from, with a very low chance of boredom. Hehe.
And so ends another post...Ciao!
