Fur is Death
I just watched the most horrible one minute clip I've ever laid eyes on. At first, I didn't think too much of it. Some girl on myspace was bagging on Jennifer Lopez for wearing fur. Fair enough, I suppose. There was a video clip attached to her bulletin. This video made me cry and sob out loud! There were men with dark skin, probably in some South-Eastern country somewhere, skinning animals alive. All they would do was smack them on the head with a club, make a couple incisions, and rip the skin right off the carcass in one bloody piece. That was pretty horrible, but I was still doing okay. What they showed next was unbearable though. Here was this animal(not too sure what it was seeing as how it's skin was missing) laying in the bed of a pickup covered in blood. I cringed at the sight and then stopped once I realized that the animal was still alive, lifting it's head to look around. It couldn't even close it's eyelids. That was when I lost it. Meanwhile, throughout this video they flash images of Jennifer Lopez sporting rare and exotic fur drapings. I can't get the image of the animal out of my head. Every time I think about it I start crying again. I've never seen anything that horrific before, and feel my life shall be forever changed due to my exposure. Sometimes we humans can be pretty horrible creatures. Just thought I'd get that off my mind.
