I've been down (but not out) with some seasonal illness that gives me aches all over and a headache, mixed in with some sinus stuff, but I've been functional enough to go to work. Tomorrow is a day off, I work Saturday, Sunday is a day off, and Monday is... PULASKI DAY! I have no idea why Mr. Pulaski is important enough to warrant a Lincoln-like holiday in the city of Chicago, but he gives me a random Monday in March as a paid holiday, so I shall love him dearly. Thank you, Casmir Pulaski! I'll try to eat something Polish in nature in your honor.
I'm not the only sick one. Lots of my co-workers have this lingering yuckiness, too, so at least I'm not alone. I will rest on my days off, or at least do really relaxing things.
It's been raining in Chicago for about the last 24 hours, with lots of thunderstorms mixed in. For February, I love it.
Spring training games started this past week as well. I'm so ready for baseball season.
