Ranting and raving
yesterday I took my test in BI112 Biology Diversity...
I'd been prepping for two weeks for this test-
In the last week,
I made flashcards
I did the review (all 104 questions)
I attended the review session
I studied with nikki.
I thought I did really well on this test.
I looked lastnight
66%
SIXTY FUCKING SIX PERCENT.
I broke down.
luckily, Jorie was there to talk me through everything...
and convince me to call my mom (by that time... around 0:00)
My mum wasn't mad, she told me that I had improved, that i'm doing what I need to do and that I should talk to my professor.
So i'm going to.
I also talked to Alden after all this was said and done... and he did a lot to cheer me up.
Thanks you guys.
NOW SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO RANT ABOUT.
My math professor always starts off the morning by giving us life advice or a pep talk.
Today's topic was Student Loans.
There was some good advice brought up...
but the talk of loans
led to him ranting...
-Loans
-Debt
-Inflation
-National Debt
-Presidential Candidates...
and the thing here is that he said this:
"One of the Presidential Candidates... I'm not going to mention names... but he definitely isn't white... wants to raise taxes to help pay off the national debt- where our debt as individuals makes up 1/10th the total national debt"
do you see what's wrong in that statement?
compounding on that... there are two african american kids IN OUR CLASS.
what the FUCK was he thinking saying something like that.
you don't say that in a professional setting.
You just don't.
I'm debating what to do about it...
